irvin has just returned to the motherland from abroad and is all keen beans to get involved with the rapidly growing Malaysian local music scene. an addict in his own right, gone through a mountain load of guitar pedals, basses and other music related gear that are both of the rarity and widely available in today’s market, irvin has taken market research to a whole new level.
an engineer in profession, irvin understands the need of a technical and yet musical ear to mix the right levels, maintaining a raw sound to keep things fresh and vibrant on stage for the crowd. after all, its all about the crowd!
learnt the art of setting up, refurbishing and repairing guitars and basses whilst in auckland, working for a local retail store. taking into account each instrument, and each style and technique of the player, setting it up to the most comfortable and ideal setup for both instrument and owner.
and of course, being technically minded and trying to be artistically sound, irvin dabbles around in the world of photography and videography. with a passion to capture raw emotion, energy and poetry on the still frames, the niche of live band photography has fitted well on his palette.
